A Day Made of Glass...A Futuristic "Apple" Life [VIDEO]

In this video, you are going to see an extremely high-tech life style, more or less in the futuristic "Apple" way, envisioned and made by Corning Incorporated, a world leading specialty glass company.

As commented by some audience, we are not sure if the "crazily" high-tech life is crazy in a good or bad way. Yet, the video is still very refreshing and inspiring.

So, as usual, just enjoy it !

iOS 5 Concept Features We Would Like to See [VIDEO]

If you’re a regular reader of this site, then you’re probably aware of iOS 5, the next major release of the operating system that runs on iPhones, iPads and iPod touches. While the system’s main features have been outlined by Apple two months ago, and the brilliant piece of software is believed to be very close to a public release, some still expect new features to be introduced at the last minute, perhaps exclusive to the long-awaited iPhone 5.

Here is a pretty well done video with quite a few features proposed, so we suggest you watch it !

"Sparrow" Coming Soon on iOS

Appreciated and used by a large number of Mac users, the mail client Sparrow should soon come on iOS, namely on iPhone, iPod Touch and iPad !

Its developer, Dominique Leca would like, on top of that, compete with the native client of iOS, with an outstanding interface, more intuitive, more beautiful, and faster to use.
This project is pretty charming, but it still needs to be approved by Apple in order to be distributed on the App Store. He would not be the first to get refused to access the biggest app shop on the planet. Despite all, the developer claims to be confident about the approval. The future will tell us all.

A smart keyboard for iPhone, perfectly studies from the iPad 2's smart cover. It is so well designed that we here only have an one-word comment : WAAANT !!

Steve Jobs Resigns as Apple CEO [Resignation Letter]

Today is a day that every solid Apple enthusiast and follower would never forget.

It has come to the end of a long journey, for Steve, and for Apple. Steve Jobs unexpectedly resigned as Apple's CEO, and Tim Cook, Apple's current COO, becomes the new CEO of the Cupertino company.

Here is Steve's resignation letter:
To the Apple Board of Directors and the Apple Community:
I have always said if there ever came a day when I could no longer meet my duties and expectations as Apple’s CEO, I would be the first to let you know. Unfortunately, that day has come.
I hereby resign as CEO of Apple. I would like to serve, if the Board sees fit, as Chairman of the Board, director and Apple employee.
As far as my successor goes, I strongly recommend that we execute our succession plan and name Tim Cook as CEO of Apple.
I believe Apple’s brightest and most innovative days are ahead of it. And I look forward to watching and contributing to its success in a new role.
I have made some of the best friends of my life at Apple, and I thank you all for the many years of being able to work alongside you.
Steve

We hereby express our most sincere wishes to Steve, wish him all the best.

A new day has come, for everyone on the planet.

Mac OS X : Lion? or not?

As some of you would already notice, Apple released a new version of Mac OS X several weeks ago and it is called Lion. It was a quite hot topic then, but has calmed down recently. Those of you who really wanted it have probably got it; so here are some suggestions for those of you who are still hesitating about Lion or Not.

We are suggesting from a customer viewpoint, and the suggestion is - GO FOR IT!

Although we wouldn't call Lion a major update, it does contain something you need and something really great. Major features include: Mission control, Launchpad, more powerful Multi-touch gestures, Fullscreen apps, auto-save, etc.

The "Mission control", "Full-screen apps" and "Multi-touch gestures" are the three features that you will definitely LOVE. They really facilitate the way you interact with your Mac. Other functions like auto-save or Resume are useful as well.

One would say - do these few features really worth 30 dollars? We'd say...we've got no choice. They are great features and Apple could have offer it as a free update, but Apple did not. So if you trust us, GO FOR IT, and we are sure that you will be happy with it!

Yet, we do have some more to say...
  • If your Internet connection isn't that bad, do get it from the Mac App Store, though the hardware version does exist but costs you $40 more. ($29.9 vs. $69)
  • If your Mac is more than 3 years old, you should think about it... because Lion does require a good hardware performance.

iWork or Microsoft Office ?

People keep asking me this question. It's true, Apple or Microsoft, it is a question.

However, here, the question isn't that much confusing. The answer is :

Apple's iWork works far better than the MS office, especially on Mac. Moreover, if you are just using for personal or domestic purposes, iWork is even better. With Pages, you can create great documents, flyers, posters, anything. With Keynote, presentations are just incredible. Numbers? Discover it ! All these are based on very simple interfaces and really easy manipulations. Again, try it out !

However, MS Office isn't bad everywhere... When it comes to more professional stuff, for example Excel, you can do much more things with it.

All iPhone 5 predictions in ONE video

A group of geeks from a French site has shocked everyone again with a pretty well done video that rounds up almost all rumors about the long waited iPhone 5 !

No more chats, just enjoy the video ! and tell us what is the most attractive feature for you !

DO NOT buy iPhone 4 now

No offense to Apple Inc.

But the truth should be known by each of you reading this : if you have been paying more or less attention to news about Apple, you probably know that the next generation of iPhone is "supposed to" come out in no more two or three months - the famous iPhone 5 and/or iPhone 4S, which will surely be improved compared to the iPhone 4.

So, pretty logically, if you bought or signed an iPhone 4 at this moment, you'd probably (or surely) regret in several months, as the iPhone 4 will then be cheaper or even much cheaper than it is now. So once again, don't buy an iPhone 4 now, unless you really have a convincing reason...

However, iPhone 3GS could be an option, if you are new to iPhone. Especially today, iPhone 3GS goes FREE, and ONLY TODAY !!

You can take advantage of this deal by clicking here.

Wallpaper HD - a nice yet easy way to keep your Mac gorgeous

Wallpaper is the image that you see every day, so you see very quickly its importance. A nice wallpaper can keep you a good mood, whereas a bad one, you could see the result... However, it is tiring and often not that easy to find a nice one.

Here comes the solution - a nice app that you can get free of charge from the Mac App Store - Wallpaper HD lite. (but the lite version isn't that annoying, just limiting the maximum download number to 5; of course I suppose you won't be downloading the wallpapers all the days)

Download from here:

If you are a super fan of wallpapers, the paid version could interest you:

*P.S. If you are reading this from another country instead of the US, try to search for "Reeder" in the Mac App Store.

Reeder - a nearly perfect RSS reader

In this IT era, getting information isn't a challenge anymore. We could simply surf on the Web to search for whatever we want.

However, every coin has two sides. The proliferation of IT has made it more and more difficult to get the correct information we truly need, because of so much distractions on the web, so much similar information, etc...

So, here comes a great solution to this. It is the Reeder ! You could simply subscribe to only the information you want, using your Google Reader account. By doing this, you get rid of all junk information.

Reeder costs $9.99 on the Mac App Store:

It  is a free software.

ChatBot - A Robot that chats with you on Mac

ChatBot, a very interesting small software.

You could see what it is literally - it is a "Bot" that chats.
Of course, he speaks English, but also a little bit of other languages, such as Japanese, Chinese etc...

You can find it in the Mac App Store, completely free ! Try it out !
